Proenza Schouler Launches Swimwear Line-Designer duo Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez debuted their brand’s first swimwear line at their Resort 2015 Preview Presentation yesterday reports InStyle. The swimwear line from Proenza Schouler, which is distributed through swimwear manufacturer Swimwear Anywhere, is said to consist of 20 styles ranging from bikinis, one-piece suits and pareos that will have designs inspired by their runway collection, some archival prints in addition to inspiration from the surfing and skateboarding ethos. The ASA, per their website is ‘the UK’s independent regulator of of advertising across all media.” According to The Guardian, the organization deemed the racy chanteuse’s fragrance ad as being too “sexually suggestive.” View More

Sneaker Wars-Just as reports of Chanel powerhouse Karl Lagerfeld being tapped to join a collaborative effort for Louis Vuitton’s 160th anniversary, TMZ.com obtained court documents that athletic shoe wear designer New Balance is suing Karl Lagerfeld for creating a sneaker that is nearly identical to their trademark 574 black trainers for his own line. The two sneakers look very similar save for the capital letter “K” on Lagerfeld’s shoe and an “N” on the New Balance version which the brand says creates confusion. According to court documents, New Balance also indicated that their sneaker design has remained the same since the 1970s and cites fashion articles such as SheFinds.com’s article titled, “Wait, Did Karl Lagerfeld Just Knock-Off New Balance Sneakers?” as evidence of trademark infringement.

Adriana Gets Sporty for Vogue Italia–After modeling for nearly twenty years, it may sound surprising, but the June 2014 cover of Vogue Italia is Adriana Lima’s first for the magazine. The Brazilian model poses for Steven Meisel in a sports-themed look from Gucci while the headpiece is designed by notable stylist Patricia Field. Adriana and Meisel also recently linked up for the American edition of Vogue where she posed alongside fellow Brazilian models in celebration of the World Cup.
