Antonio Marras Spring/Summer 2015–Timely with the 2014 World Cup in full swing, designer Antonio Marras looked to the sport of soccer for inspiration when approaching his spring/summer 2015 collection. The popular sport provided an infectious new vehicle for Marras' designs. Juxtaposed with a 1950s style reference, printed trousers were cropped and paired with a fun selection of shirting, ranging from short-sleeve shirts with graphics to hooded shirts with printed panels. Along for the ride were green and yellow ensembles undoubtedly inspired by São Paulo, Brazil. Marras also strikes up a casual jester with the use of denim, reinventing the classic in a tailored form. Pair that with shirts dressed in soccer balls, polka dots and vertical lines–you had a winning collection or shall we say a winning goal! View More

Tod's Spring/Summer 2015–New Tod's creative director Andrea Incontri collaborated with the label's design team for spring/summer 2015. Tod's, famous for its driving shoes, introduced a timeless range of clothes for its sophisticated man of the world. Silhouettes were tailored as separates came out in hues of blue and brown. Jackets with field pockets, double-breasted blazers worn unbuttoned, loose printed button-downs, trim pleated trousers and suede jackets contributed to an easily accessible debut outing from Incontri. Moncler Gamme Bleu Spring/Summer 2015–Designer Thom Browne looked to the sport of boxing to inform his latest collection for Moncler Gamme Bleu. Beginning the show with the obvious boxing shorts, shirtless models paraded out front in Browne's customary navy, red and white. Branching off into silk robes and long coats, the collection was extended with layered separates that boasted a high wearable factor. Check jackets, smart shorts, sharp blazers and simple dress shirts contributed to a well-rounded outing that championed a balance of creativity and reality. View More

Daks Spring/Summer 2015–Daks creative director Filippo Scuffi was in need of editing this season as 43 menswear looks made their way down the runway during Milan Fashion Week, providing a series of hits and misses. Scuffi took the man of Daks into a relaxed athletic direction for spring/summer 2015 that did always necessarily work. Some ensembles like a mock turtleneck long-sleeve tee and casual pants simply didn't work. However, more smart pieces like cardigan sets provided a nice alternative. The label's strong suits continued to be conventional items such as a double-breasted blazer sans the attempt at basketball shorts. Another positive were refined leather jackets. View More

Prada Spring/Summer 2015–Miuccia Prada made a modest proposal for spring/summer 2015, crafting her latest collection with wearability at the forefront. Denim pants solidified the season's simple plan as models hit the dirt brown runway, showing a rugged side to Prada's man. Married to a nostalgic past that is so familiar to the Prada man, it wasn't a stretch to imagine the label’s designs on the original set of Dallas. Here, long coats, of a smooth brown leather were cut straight with sharp lines. Meanwhile, striped knitwear played with printed proportions.
