DAILY DIGEST | Karl Lagerfeld Didn't Like Being a Kid, Doesn't Like Older Adults Now May 08, 2014 04:44 pm Karl Lagerfeld poses alongside Cara Delevingne. Image: Instagram Chanel and Fendi creative director Karl Lagerfeld is not shy when it comes to speaking his mind. In a recent interview with the German magazine Zeit via Yahoo, one of fashion's most famous names talked about how he did not like being a kid. “I didn’t play with other children, I thought they were dreadful. The only thing I did was read, learn languages and sketch. As a child I only had one wish: to be grown up. Now I don’t find that important anymore.” As to whether he hangs around with those in his age group. At a sprightly 80, Lagerfeld would rather run with the likes of Cara Delevingne. “I don’t know anyone from my generation. I find those people terrible. Even younger people are starting to talk about circulation problems. I have extreme self discipline, which I can barely call self discipline anymore because I can’t see any other way to be.” View More | | Cameron Russell Talks Feminism, Beauty Retouching in The Edit Feature May 08, 2014 04:12 pm Seeds of Change–Outspoken model Cameron Russell stars in the latest issue of Net-a-Porter’s online magazine, The Edit. View More | | TBT | Gemma, Lily & Lindsay Have Photo Booth Fun in Unreleased 2005 Dior Images May 08, 2014 09:17 am Throwback Dior—It's quite rare that you get to see unreleased images from a campaign, but here is a look at some never before seen pictures that were originally shot for Dior's spring 2005 advertisements. Photographer Nick Knight shared on the Show Studio Tumblr these photographs of models Gemma Ward, Lily Donaldson and Lindsay Ellingson. Knight wrote about the images, which were never released until now, this: "The brief was characteristically cryptic from John [Galliano, the brand's creative director at the time] – 'Three friends taking pictures of themselves in a photo-booth as they go off to Glastonbury festival.'" As we know now, the campaign ultimately went to Ms. Kate Moss (also photographed by Knight) instead of the music festival theme, but it’s cool to see them now and the styles are quite relevant with the recent bohemian resurgence in fashion.
