This past weekend, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine shocked the world when he showcased a new platinum blond do. Last night on The Voice, Levine took his judge’s chair for the first time with his daring blond hair. People caught up with Levine’s hair stylist Shaul Arbiv to get the scoop on why the musician went blond. The owner of Shampoo on 3rd Hair Salon in Los Angeles, Arbiv shares, “With summer months coming up, we wanted to do something totally drastic and different from his previous styles so we bleached it. Franco in Gucci at Palo Alto Premiere–Attending the Los Angeles premiere of his latest movie, Palo Alto at Directors Guild of America, actor James Franco wore a blue two-button suit from Gucci. Franco is a regular face of Gucci and regularly wears the label for promotional events. The May 5th event was hosted by online retailer Farfetch. Robbie Rogers for Mr Porter–Mr Porter calls on LA Galaxy star Robbie Rogers for the latest issue of The Journal. Catching up with Mr Porter in Los Angeles, where he resides in West Hollywood, Rogers hit the photo studio with photographer Kurt Iswarienko. Rogers wears sporty styles from Balenciaga, Paul Smith, Alexander Wang and other fashion labels carried by Mr Porter. Talking to Mr Porter about his own struggles with coming out and playing football, at the time for Leeds United, Rogers reflects on the whole ordeal, “I did it in a selfish way, not to help anyone else or to create a movement in football, but just to get everything out of me and start my life on a fresh page.” To his surprise, Rogers received overwhelming support coming out, expressing “I didn’t realise how big of a deal it was going to be I didn’t have any idea that it would reach people around the world or the impact it would have, especially on younger people. David Gandy by Giles Duley–For his latest photos, British model David Gandy sits for portraits with photographer Giles Duley. Gandy’s images are part of Duley’s series, 100 Portraits Before I Die. The idea came to Duley, a photo journalist, while in intensive care after stepping on an IED in Afghanistan, which resulted in the amputation of both his legs. Duley shares, “So this is where the 100 Portraits Before I Die project comes in. Yes, in some ways it's a little self-indulgent, but my life has been dominated by injury and conflict for nearly ten years, culminating in my own experience. I feel like I just need a break from that. To focus on my passion for portraiture, to meet many of those who have influenced my cultural life, to rebuild my career, my confidence, to learn to accept what's happened to me and most important to enjoy life and fuel my passion for photography!” View More
