 Adan Canto as Sunspot in “X-Men: Days of Future Past” The highly anticipated X-Men: Days of Future Past movie hits theaters today and we had a chance to catch up with actor Adan Canto. Known for the television show The Following, Canto makes the leap to the big screen, playing Sunspot in Bryan Singer’s latest X-Men film. Canto’s character is a Brazilian mutant who possesses the ability to absorb and channel solar power. In Singer’s universe, Sunspot is the leader of the Gene Nation. When Canto originally heard about the new X-Men movie, he was filming The Following. He remembers, ” We were able to get a meeting with the casting directors and read for the roles. When I found out that I got the role it was amazing. It was exciting. I’ve always been a fan of the movies.” Addressing the movie’s premise of time, Canto recalls finding the script a “little confusing” but at the end of the day it made sense, “it’s a very well-rounded world.” View More

 Blending retro and modern for an edgy result? That’s the Marc Jacobs specialty. Marc by Marc Jacobs Resort 2014/15–Marc by Marc Jacobs’ resort 2015 look book brings decades of fashion into the now. This collection mixes subtle styles from multiple different eras: ascots and color blends reminiscent of the ’70s, dapper rugby looks for a ’50s throwback, and outerwear that’s right in line with the now. The collection is filled with everything from funky bicycle prints to cool stripes and plaids. The styling, of course, is typical Marc Jacobs–short, slim pants paired with super-skinny V-neck sweaters and some seriously slick shoes and accessories.

Drones & Dragons–Interview magazine talks to Game of Thrones actor Michiel Huisman for one of its latest features. Posing for photos by Brian Higbee, the 33 year-old Dutch actor is styled by Lizette Pena in garments from Dior Homme, Emporio Armani and Vivienne Westwood, among other fashion labels. Huisman, who is now most known as his Game of Thrones character Daario Naharis, began acting as a child. “Acting was one of the things I did alongside going to school: I’d be playing guitar, I’d be playing soccer, and I would be acting in movies,” Huisman shares. “Because Holland is so small, it was never considered a career.” Fast forward to present and Huisman has new shoes to fill. Talking about Game of Thrones and how he was cast for a role, previously occupied by another actor, he explains “I thought it was important to keep in mind what had happened, but then, from that moment on, treat it as a new role. Although the previous actor had been in a couple of episodes, and the audience had invested in him playing the role, it still felt like there was enough room for me to reestablish the character. I hope, at least. That was the sense I got from everybody involved; that it was okay to do my thing with it. Which I’m very grateful for, because it’s very hard to do what someone else did—to imitate. Pharrell x Comme des Garçons–As previously announced, Pharrell has joined forces with Comme des Garçons for a new celebrity fragrance named Girl after his latest album. The woody unisex scent will be hitting Dover Street Markets and Sephora in September. Talking about doing a unisex fragrance, Pharrell shares with WWD, “There should be no lines — I learned that from Comme des Garçons. Hence, Girl — for girls and boys. We just found another way to say unisex.” Pharrell has been a busy man lately, getting prepared to join The Voice as a judge and collaborating with other labels such as UNIQLO. Explaining his collaborations, Pharrell says, “When I do a collaboration with brands, I do them with notable masters, so that I can experience the true purpose of collaboration, which is to learn. So I only work with masters. We had the best nose in Paris, I was working with the best brand — Comme des Garçons is your favorite designer's favorite brand — so there was not much of a struggle, because I was working with the masters of the artistic universe.” View More
