MAC Introduces Novel Romance Line–Romance novel covers are the inspiration for MAC Cosmetics latest makeup line for fall 2014 called appropiately “Novel Romance”. The campaign images star a six-pack sporting hunk alongside his longing blonde companion. Thanks to Refinery29, we have a look at the over the top campaign photos that are so cheesy but so good. Nine West is usually in the news for its shoes, but the footwear and accessories brand has stirred controversy with a new ad campaign that some call sexist. The images feature a closeup of leopard print shoes with a bullseye target and the tagline "Starter Husband Hunting". On Facebook the image was posted with a caption that reads: "It’s hunting season. Whether you’re looking for Mr. Right or Mr. Right Now, we have a shoe for that." Many commenters on the Facebook post took issue with the fact that the ad implied that a woman would go shoe shopping to find a man rather than just look good for themselves. One woman, Julie, wrote: "Stupid campaign 9W. Love your shoes but don’t patronize your customers by an outdated ideal. Women are hunting success and goals, dreams and visions. Not husbands." Photographed by Owen Bruce, the models take on standout beauty styles including spider-eyelashes and bold eyeshadow colors courtesy of makeup artist Sabrina Rinaldi. Roland Mouret x Banana Republic–Set to debut online on August 7th, the Roland Mouret for Banana Republic lookbook has been released and as expected, the dresses are form-fitting, chic and timeless. The price range goes from $49.50 to $165.00 so it won't break the bank. In addition to color-blocked dresses, Mouret also designed office wear for the Banana Republic customer with cropped sweaters, cigarette pants and basic tops. The creative duo was inspired "Gods and Goddesses" for its new issue where Eniko pays homage to Aphrodite.
